Some nice stuff up there. I still remember spending many hours on the Age of Empires demo let alone the full game.
Speaking of, there's a great HD mod for Age of Empires 1.
It also supports more modding for the game, one I'd recommend is for a higher population limit of 100.
There's also so much user made stuff for it even just trying to play through the decent campaigns/maps would take Ages.
Here's a link for a collection of some campaigns (I haven't played them all), it also includes Conquests of the Ages which was a third party addon for AoE1 though I didn't include the videos since the upload would have been bigger (I edited/fixed one or two of the levels for that as some were a little, questionable). It also includes things like the Demo campaign. It's worth noting this also has the original AoE1 campaigns renamed so things are better sorted ingame (if you don't want that to exclude files named "AoE - " and "AoEX - "

The only general problem I remember having was some campaigns wouldn't unlock the next scenario after victory, but creating a new Profile ingame and trying again it then would unlock the next level (can be quickly done with the "HOME RUN" cheat)
Metal Fatigue was memorable, having 3 levels added to it and ripping off robot arms and equipping them was fun.
CnC Generals was good stuff but personally I think it all climaxed with Tiberium Wars, still looks and plays great just a pitty about the SAGE engine's 30 FPS limit (linked to game speed so increasing it isn't great).
Battle for Middle Earth came out at the perfect time and was quite a sight, horses stampeding over enemies was so much fun and the audio was stunning. (I think there's some widescreen and texture fixes for this but can't remember and don't have it installed anymore)
Supreme Commander was a technical marvel, the waypoint system alone is still worlds beyond anything else, it's ridiculous what that waypoint system can pull off. So much of the features and functionality in that game should be the standard for RTS games.
